What our customers say about us...
My bike is back working!!!! and my miracle has a name...
Martin Wittering.... that man is a God! A few people have told me he was a
bloody good mechanic, so in quiet desperation after breaking down just
outside nowhere, I asked him to take a look at it, he travelled down to Luton
the next day to collect it and this morning he calls me with a full report
on my bike and has quite a complex problem sorted inc. parts, the lot. And
has set up my nearly knackerd suspension too!!! I was told by 3 separate
people that he was world class with enduro bike but nobody told me he is
lighting fast, and very reasonable price wise.
I hate to say it but I have suffered a few "couldn't care less" mechanics in
the last few years and a few main dealer "super-expert" mechanics who just
laughed at my non bigfour (ktm etc) bike and told me to spend £1300+ to
replace fully ok stuff with new parts (just so their 16 year old work
experience kids could do my job unaided) or better still just why don't I PX
it for a new one? Thanks but no thanks, i am not quite that big a rich
tit... so until now I have been doing most work myself, with the help google
and of a top mate that works on scooters. Most of the time, I had some money
to pay someone, i just didn't feel the guys I had met gave a toss if you
didn't buy a new bike off them every 18 months, and when one of the kids at
a main dealer in London left my calliper bolts undone I guessed it would be
safer to do it myself anyhow.
Martin is all about your bike, getting the best out of it and working with
what you can afford, be it an intelligent fix or a full sort out, set up and
revamp. He gave me options, good advice and looked at it from my point of
view.
It is a long long time since I spoke to a bike mechanic who I felt was on my
side. I had forgotten there were people out there that care about what they
do, not spoken to that kind of mechanic since I worked for a tiny racing
outfit as a y.o.p er
Best of all I have not even met him yet!
"Just had my KTM 400exc serviced by Martin at Torque (and he also dealt with a slight water ingress issue after my last ride. Based up near Baldock, so handy for Herts/Beds riders.
TOP service - highly recommended. Really thorough sort-out of my bike and good advice for looking after it. Can even pick your bike up and drop it off. Will defo use him again.
